Headed back to Rwanda on Monday (horray!) for a fourth attempt at a visa! (Wish me luck!) On the menu for my last days in Uganda: a beautiful 360 degree view of Kampala at sunset atop the National Mosque tower, followed by a picturesque full moon. (Swoon!) Sunday Funday to the market to source fried grasshoppers (haven’t tried them yet but obviously can’t leave without!) and then to Jinja, a town on the Great Lake Victoria at the source of the Nile!
PUBLIC NOTICE: Put in your grasshopper order now or forever hold your peace!

The National Mosque tower (formerly called the Gaddafi Mosque — Gaddafi called Uganda his second home and funded many development projects in the country, including this mosque completed in 2006).
