Sometimes I need only to stand wherever I am to be blessed.
Little mink, let me watch you.
Little mice, run and run.
Dear pine cone, let me hold you as you open.

Post #1 from the trail (or rather, a gas station just off trail): photos from the first handful of days.
So far, so surreal, so the words will have to wait. A hundred times a day I look around with gratitude and receive the kindness of a conversation or take in hawks soaring overhead or watch farmers spraying fields or notice a rabbit sitting tentatively nearby. Trail life is a dream, and I need only to stand wherever I am to be blessed.
Your pictures are beautiful..you even make doing laundry look interesting! We look forward to watching your journey unfold!

Hi Bonnie, Thanks for the update and interesting pictures. When I checked with your mom you were in Princeton. Penny and I and half of Woodville will be in Salmon Arm on June 1 for the wedding of Blair Lloyd and Lindsay. We are staying at Vernon. I think if you climb the hill near you and we did the same we might be close enough to see each other waving. My phone # is 705-928-3952. We are heading to Calgary on June 2.Be glad to pick up the odd hitchhiker on the way. Go girl go.
